Kimberly T. Lee has dedicated her legal career to helping individuals and families protect their assets and plan for the future with confidence. As the founder of Desert Law Group in Indian Wells, California, she focuses on estate planning, trust and probate administration, and wealth preservation throughout the Coachella Valley.
Kimberly believes estate planning should be clear, practical, and tailored to each client’s needs. Her work is centered on helping families avoid probate, minimize tax exposure, and ensure a smooth transition of their legacy, all while preserving long-term family harmony.
Kimberly earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) with the highest honors from the University of La Verne College of Law. She began her legal career working with the California Supreme Court, an experience that helped establish a strong foundation in estate planning and trust administration.
Throughout her practice, Kimberly has applied her knowledge of tax law, real property, business law, and community property matters to develop comprehensive estate planning solutions tailored specifically to California families.
Financial Planning Credentials: Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
In addition to her legal training, Kimberly is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a designation widely recognized as the gold standard in financial planning. This dual background allows her to approach estate planning from both a legal and financial perspective.
By combining legal strategy with sound financial planning principles, Kimberly helps clients create estate plans that support long-term goals and provide lasting security for future generations.
Kimberly is licensed to practice in all courts in California, including the United States Tax Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She remains actively involved in the legal community through her membership in Wealth Counsel, LLC and Elder Counsel, LLC.
She previously served as President of the Desert Bar Association from 2017 to 2018 and as Education Chair for the California Lawyers Association. Kimberly has also served on the Board of Directors for the Desert Estate Planning Council and held advisory roles with organizations including the American Cancer Society, Animal Samaritans, Coachella Valley Community Foundation, and First Foundation Bank.
